Pittsburgh Art, Murals & Creative Stories | Scott Kowalski
Art isn’t just about what ends up on the canvas or wall. It’s also about everything that happens along the way.
I’m Scott Kowalski, a Pittsburgh-based artist and muralist working in abstract expressionism, original acrylic paintings, public art, and large-scale murals.
This is where I share the stories behind my work, from developing new painting techniques and experimenting with materials to creating public murals throughout Pittsburgh.
You’ll also find stories about the people, organizations, and communities that influence what I create. Art has always been about more than making something visually interesting. It’s about connection, experimentation, and occasionally discovering something completely unexpected.
Some articles explore finished artwork. Others document projects, collaborations, community events, and the creative process itself.
It’s a look at what happens before, during, and after the painting.
