Scott Kowalski

With over 35 years of experience in design, media, and digital development, I’ve led projects ranging from clean brochure layouts to complex, custom-built websites. My work is grounded in both creativity and technical precision, shaped by decades of hands-on experience across industries.

I’ve also been an organizer for Art All Night, one of Pittsburgh’s most beloved grassroots art events, and continue to play a role in shaping community-based creative experiences. I completed a three-year term as President of a leading Pittsburgh nonprofit, where I managed daily operations, coordinated a team of 30+ volunteers, and brought multiple large-scale initiatives to life.

Beyond design, I have organize large-scale city cycling events and bring the same energy to every client project: thoughtful strategy, seamless execution, and a strong focus on results. Whether the task is branding, web development, or collaborative placemaking, I approach every challenge with curiosity, clarity, and a solutions-first mindset.

Artist

Working in my Pittsburgh, PA studio, I explore the tension between Calm and chaos within myself. My art reflects this inner journey, balancing the calm simplicity of minimalism with the intensity of abstract expressionism. Primarily using acrylics on canvas, I create bold, vague, vibrant pieces that capture this dynamic interplay.  I strive to uncover tranquility while embracing the complexity and depth of my emotions, translating that experience into visual form.

Show History

Art All Night (2012–2025)

Art All Night is one of Pittsburgh’s most iconic grassroots art events—an annual, free-to-enter, 24-hour celebration of creativity that welcomes artists of all levels and backgrounds. As an exhibiting artist, I’ve proudly displayed work at Art All Night for over a decade, sharing space with a vibrant mix of creators in a truly unfiltered, community-driven environment. The event thrives on inclusivity, spontaneity, and artistic freedom—values that align closely with my own practice.
