Lullabies for Wandering Marshmallows (PRINT)

Fences hum lullabies to purple sunflowers, the white blobs, which may or may not be sentient marshmallows, float through the air in search of melodies to eat. The flowers, blissfully unaware of their own existence, sing in colors only visible to the fences, who, in turn, sprout wings and attempt to chase the blobs away with streams of invisible music. Meanwhile, the blobs, indifferent to the fences’ musical pursuits, continue their quest to consume tunes, leaving behind trails of forgotten whispers that morph into tiny dancing cacti. As the fences grow ever more perplexed by the blobs’ insatiable hunger for non-existent songs, the world spins into a dream where everything, and nothing, happens all at once.
