Overnight, it stood. Steel, cold, alive, a canvas but not a canvas—hard edges, the city’s heartbeat pressed flat. Big, bright, yellow flower, bold as a scream, soft as a whisper. Front and center. Demanding. The filter, gray, veiled, between you and it, or maybe between it and itself. Shadows blur, light breaks, nothing clear, everything seen.
Filtered. Not hidden, not shown, caught in the act of almost. Flower pushing through, past the filter, beyond steel. Yellow against gray, life against frame. A boundary? A barrier? No, a question. Always a question. Flower laughing, daring. Steel, silent. Filter, breathing.
